  Technology   It is argued that technology is playing an evert increasing role in schools and universities. It has both advantages and disadvantages.   One of the principle advantages of an increase in the use electric devices in education is the autonomy it provides students. Students have the freedom to focus on whatever topic or subject they want and study it in depth through the internet.A prime example of this is the amount of online university courses available to students,covering a myriad of subjects,that up until recently were unavailable to most learners.This has resulted in more people studying third level degrees than ever before,at a pace and schedule that suits

  To kandy I went on a trip ti Kandy during my last holidays. I went with my parents,uncles,aunts and cousins.We went in an air conditioned bus. We started our journey at 5.30 a.m.  We packed our breakfast with chickpeas,tea and sandwiches .We also took cool water. We were singing songs till we reached the pinnawela elephant orphanage. There were two elephants in the orphanage . One is the resting place and the other one is the resting place and the other one is the bathing place.At about10 o’clock the elephant were taken to bath in the river.They walked in a row , holding each other’s tail.There were lots of elephant dung along the road.

 New year ,                              The New year festival is celebrated by all Sinnhalese and Tamil people in Sri Lanka.The traditional New year celebration fall on between 12to 14 April.It is held to celebrate the Sun God’s passage from Pisces to Aries. It is also a harvest thanksgiving and is mainly celebrated by the villagers in true traditional style. It is a colourful and extravagant festival and this season is usually a holiday for the whole country.           

Mobile Phone             Nowadays , we all carry a mobile phone or a smartphone awith us.It helps us to communicate with our relatives or friends who are not near to us physically. The invention of the mobile phone is a great success of science.Thought the main uses of the mobile phone are to make calls or to send messages,it can also be used for multi purpose task. In addition to calls or messages,the mobile phone can also be used as a calculator,camera,voice recording device,audio and video player etc. One also can browse the internet on his/her mobile phone.  

  Fair I visited the village fair with my mother last Saturday.We went to the fair in the morning.There was a big crowd at the fair. It was very noisy. There were hundreds of vendors selling vegetable,fruits,sweets,clothes etc.  First we bought vegetables. They were very fresh. Mother bought some fruits,too. She bought me a handkerchief for school. We spent about two hours at the fair. It was an unforgettable day in my life.

  Cricket My favorite sport is cricket.Cricket is a team sport.The birth place of cricket is England.It is usually an outdoor sport. However ,it is played as an indoor game,too.  There are two teams in a cricket match.Each team has eleven players. There is an umpire to judge a match. Players use a bat and a ball to play the match.A bowler can bowl only six deliveries at a time. It is called an ‘over’. There are two kinds of cricket matches: test matches and one day matches. Cricket is an interesting game……

  An unforgettable day in my life. The day I went on our school trip is the unforgettable day in my life. I went to Nuwara Eliya with my friends and the class teacher. We left the school around 5.00 a.m. and reached there around 8.00 a.m.   On the day,I saw many beautiful mountains, waterfalls and tea estates. We sang songs, danced and ate tasty food.I enjoyed every moment of that trip and I am sure that I would never forget that day…….
